Schools
From a co-curricular Modern Band pathway (ukulele and guitar in elementary, a full band in Grades 7–8, and digital music production in high school) to after-school clubs and assembly shows, we work as an extension of your team, not as a vendor passing through.

Three outcomes our schools partners care about.
We partner with elementary, middle, and secondary schools across Ontario. Our itinerant music teachers are trained in the modern-band methodology, some hold OCT/ECE certification, and we plan with your administration around your calendar, your facility, and your students' interests.
- 01
A music program your students recognize
Modern instruments, modern repertoire — written within the past fifty years. Students see themselves reflected in the curriculum.
- 02
Aligned to the OCT Arts curriculum
Programming maps to the Ontario Arts curriculum so it sits cleanly inside your school day.
- 03
Showcases that bring the community in
Every term ends with a live student showcase — a low-lift event that makes families feel proud and connected.
Most relevant programs for schools:

Modern Band Ensemble
A fifth stream of music education — alongside orchestra, jazz, marching band and chorus — built on the music students actually listen to.

Ukulele Program
An in-class ukulele ensemble where students play modern repertoire together — chords, rhythm, solfège, performance.

Guitar Program
The ukulele grows up: students move to guitar and play the songs they hear every day, together.

Digital Music Production
Where students become authors: writing, recording and producing their own music on the tools the industry uses.

Junior Jammers
The first stage of the modern-band journey — singing in tune, keeping a beat, and making music together.

Rockstar Guitar
An immersive introduction to the most popular instrument on the planet.

Rock Band
You already play your instrument; now it's time to take your talent to the stage.

JUNKESTRA — Nutty Music Professor
Comedian, recycling genius, and virtuoso guitarist Mark Sepic turns everyday household objects into unbelievably musical instruments.
“We have been using Rockstar Music as our main third-party provider for music programming for our middle school. Rockstar and their staff are always responsive, flexible, and professional. I have never been disappointed by the quality of teachers who enter our classrooms. There is a reason we have used Rockstar for more than 5 years, and see no end in sight. If you want quality at a reasonable rate, this is your go-to.”
Brett CopelandInterim Director of Middle School · Robbins Hebrew Academy, Toronto“Nick understood the importance of relationships in teaching. He took time to meet and get to know each of his students. His ability to connect with students enabled him to effectively assess individual skill levels and tailor the music and program to meet each student's needs. Nick fulfilled all aspects of his role with quality in mind — written assignments, report card comments, differentiation of material. He also worked with our development team to create new music initiatives that help serve the greater community.”
