JUNKESTRA — Shake and Toot
Ages 3-8
Discover how everyday household objects can be made to sound unbelievably musical.

Mark demonstrates building very simple musical instruments from common materials — steel drums (tin cans tuned with a hammer), marimbas (broken hockey sticks), thumb pianos (popsicle sticks). Kids make bright, colourful kazoos and shakers from a toilet-paper roll + wax paper and a plastic vitamin jar + a spoon of rice, all decorated with peel-and-stick vinyl. Followed by a sing-and-play-along session. Participants take their instruments home.
